10 things you can't miss in London!

1. Brick Lane market.
I've already spoken about Brick Lane and Shoreditch, but I still want to say that this is the best market in London. If you want to taste the real London go there! Nearest tube station: Liverpool Street.
2. Concert at the Roundhouse.
The Roundhouse is a great venue in Chalk Farm (near Camden town). During the 60's it has hosted many notable bands (The Rolling stones, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Doors). It still hosts a lot of important groups and singers. www.roundhouse.org.uk Nearest tube station: Chalk Farm.
3. Portobello market.
In west London we find Portobello market, a popular destination for Londoners and tourists. It's a nice street market in the heart of Notting Hill. Nearest tube stations: Notting Hill Gate, Ladbroke Grove.
4. Primrose Hill.
One of my favourite park in London. It is located in a fashionable and rich district. Nearest tube stations: Swiss Cottage, Chalk Farm, Camden Town, St John's Wood.
5. Fish and chips at the Golden Hind.
Haddock with chips! Yummy!! 73 Marylebone LaneLondonW1U 2PN, nearest tube station: Bond Street.
6. Proud, Camden Town.
One of the best venue to party on friday or saturday night! Cool music and groovy people! Nearest tube stations: Camden Town, Chalk Farm. www.proudcamden.com
7. Blues Music in Soho.
Just one doorstep from Oxford Circus, there is this amazing blues bar, Ain't Nothin but... The venue is a bit small but it's worth going there! You always find great live music and good beer! (20 Kingly Street, Soho.)
8. Have a walk in Little Venice.
Little Venice is in one of the most exclusive residential district in central London. This picturesque canal of water is home to a number of waterside cafes and pubs. Nearest tube stations: Warwick Avenue, Maida Vale.
9. Feed squirrels in Saint James's Park.
London parks are full of squirrels, of friendly ones! But I chose to put Saint James's park on the list because it's the perfect place to find a piece of mind in the crowdy centre.  Nearest tube station: St James's Park.
10. Greenwich Park.
This park is one of the Royal parks of London. It's a former hunting park and one of the largest single green spaces in south east London.

Durante gli anni 60 ha ospitato parecchi gruppi famosi (The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Doors).

The city of blinding lights

A couple of weeks ago I took these pictures by chance in the centre of London with my Lomography Fisheye No.2. Just yesterday I found out on Lomography.com an interesting contest: the Lights Competition. All you have to do is grab your Lomo and take pictures of lights, Christmas lights, street lights, anything that has lights! It's pretty simple! And you can get interesting prizes ;D So let's go and take some photos! J.S.

E' abbastanza semplice! Inoltre potete vincere premi interessanti! ;D Quindi iniziate subito a fotografare! J.S.

A remedy for boredom: a box of moustaches, a couple of friends and a camera. Have fun! J.S.
Buon divertimento! J.S.

Chanel on street lights???

Have you ever noticed that on many street lights in London there is the logo of Chanel? Well, according to the legend the Duke of Westminster fell in love with Coco. He tried to convince her to marry him with this oddity, but she always refused. They met in 1925 and they were lovers till 1930...But according to the city hall the double C means "City Council". And those street lights haven't been installed before the 1950s. Which version do you prefer?? J.S
